Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and singer. Parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Her family was from Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen is Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen was already a skilled entertainer at an early stage. Her role was as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she was subsequently cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. Also, Bell began taking acting lessons privately. Bell was in a role of minor importance that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell took part in the Drama and Music Club of Shrine Catholic High School. In her school's show of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was cast as Dorothy. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater following her graduation. Bell quit her college in 2001 after she was cast in the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. The is the year she was the first to be credited in Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and her character was not shown in the credits sequence. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell was on the Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
