Due to the chaos that surrounded her family and the arguments that her parents had with each other, she turned to music. She soon decided that she would like to make a profession of an artist. She formed a musical group when she was still in high school and got an opportunity to an audition with music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly amazed by her talent. He suggested that she relocate to New York in order to make a career of it as a singer which she happily accepted. Her debut album was soon out and Rihanna became a hit with the public before long. The singer was popular among youngsters for her uplifting, foot-tapping music. It led to her taking up directing. Young and talented, Rihanna has been viewed as both a teen-idol and a fashion idol.
